Files in the Web App

Goal

Add a file to a conversation so the model can read it as part of your chat.

What you need

• Access to the Web App at app.botconnector.id.
• A conversation open with a model picked (Model picker).

Steps

1. Open a chat in the Web App.
2. Open the files entry point in the conversation (the files area of the app).
3. Add your file to the conversation.
4. Ask about the file in the chat. The model receives the file content according to the compute target in use — check the privacy notes for cloud targets before sending sensitive files: Cloud privacy.

Expected result

The model answers with reference to the file you attached, and the file stays attached to that conversation.

If it fails

• A file will not attach or is not read correctly: check the file type is supported by the picked model's capabilities (Capabilities), then see Troubleshooting.
• Questions about where file data goes on cloud runs: Cloud privacy and Cloud.
• General problems: Troubleshooting.
