Local

Local inference stays on hardware you control unless you explicitly enable a tool or integration that performs network access.

Cloud

When you select a Cloud model, the prompt and model response are processed through BotConnector Cloud and the services required to execute that model.

BotConnector does not expose internal routing services as the public identity of a model.

Design commitments

  • Cloud versus Local is an explicit user choice.
  • Local requests are not silently converted into Cloud requests.
  • Internal routing details are not required in client configuration.
  • External apps use the BotConnector Base URL and account API key.
